Structural engineering for this project covered a new overhead access system within the historic Capitol Theatre in Windsor, Ontario. The work included design of cold‑formed steel and aluminum catwalks, platforms, stairs, and ship ladders supported from existing roof trusses and masonry walls using Unistrut‑type channels, aluminum 6061‑T6 stringers, and hot‑dip galvanized bar‑grating treads. Guards, handrails, connections, and bracing were detailed for 50 psf platform live load, 600 lb concentrated loads, and code‑compliant guard loading to provide safe access for stage and technical staff
