Structural engineering services were provided for this three storey residential rental building at 369 Hunter Street West, Peterborough. The scope included reinforced concrete strip footings, foundation walls, elevator pit and hoist beam design, and multi level wood and steel framing. Floor systems utilized engineered I joists, LVL beams, and structural steel members. Lateral load resistance was achieved through wood and concrete shear walls incorporating a continuous tie rod hold down system from foundation to roof, designed in accordance with the Ontario Building Code and applicable CSA standards.
